Becky Ann Johnson

Becky Ann Johnson 80, of Carlsbad NM passed away on February 25, 2026, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock TX. She was born on January 24, 1946, in Colorado City, TX. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3301 S. Canal street with Joe Gomez officiating. 

Becky was preceded in death by her parents Arvie and Sam Rogers, sister Johnnie Burnett, brothers Jacky, Larry, and Cody, her husband Hue Anderson Johnson, and grandson Jordan Johnson. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Phalonna (Renee) Johnson, Brenton Johnson, and Jasonne Johnson; her grandchildren, Deandria Johnson and Prasyla Johnson; her great-grandchild, Caesar Jones; her sisters Sammie Batie and Brenda Wiley of Lubbock, TX; Ramona Moore of Carlsbad, NM; her brothers Charles Rogers of Hobbs, NM, Danny Rogers of Carlsbad, NM; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. 

Becky was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on February 2, 1987, and served her God loyally to the end. Becky had a heart that touched everyone she met. She found great joy in sending thoughtful cards to friends and family. Feeding the ducks at the beach was therapeutic for her. She also liked journaling, fishing, and traveling to see her nieces, nephews, children and her grandson. She enjoyed hanging out with her loved ones and participating at congregation meetings of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was known for her wise counsel, her laughter that could brighten any room, and her unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. 
Though retired, Becky remained active, engaged, and committed to making the lives of those around her better. We will miss her kindness and laughter, but her love and guidance will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
