Barbara McDonald age 78 of Loving, NM went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by her family. There will be a visitation on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM a Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Assembly Church in Carlsbad, NM with a procession to Loving Cemetery, Loving, NM.

Barbara spent her life devoted to her family. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, and friend whose kindness, strength, and gentle heart touched everyone who knew her. Barbara’s greatest joy was her family. She loved deeply, gave selflessly, and had a way of making others feel seen and cared for. She was preceded in death by her parents: Winston and Olene Brasher, and brother, Winston ‘Buddy’ Brasher.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Glenn McDonald; daughters: Amber Ezell and partner, Lorenzo, Brandy McDonald and partner, Kelsey; grandchildren: Colby Jump and partner, Alex, Dakota Jump, Daniel Ruiz and partner, Cora, Tj Ruiz and partner, Talyssa, and Arianna Ruiz and partner, Damian; great-granddaughter, Atlas Ruiz; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and one aunt who will forever cherish her love. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing she is at peace and reunited with loved ones in heaven.

Pallbearers will be Kelsey Scott, Lorenzo Trevino, Alex Aldach, Vance McDonald, Jason Patton, Lonny McDonald, Steven Patton, and Dean Baker. Honorary pallbearers are Colby Jump, Dakota Jump, Daniel Ruiz, Tj Ruiz, and Arianna Ruiz.
