Barbara A. Hight, 69, of Camp Avenue, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away August 26, 2009 at her home. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2009, 11:00 AM, at New Song Christian Fellowship with Pastor John A. Burke officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Barbara A. Hight was born March 3, 1940 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Curtis E. and Genelda A. (Tidwell) Wiseman. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1958. Barbara worked with the Carlsbad Police Department for thirteen years. She then began working as a church secretary, which she did over 28 years. Barbara was a member of New Song Christian Fellowship, where she was involved with the women's ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors are her husband, Ed S. Hight of Carlsbad, two daughters: Tamara Tschuor and husband, Ubaldo of Chur, Switzerland, Deena Hinojos and husband, David of Colorado Springs, CO; step-son, Edward Slaton Hight, Jr. and wife of the U S Army-Iran; step-daughter, Angie L. Griffin and husband, Phil of Benton, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Shayna Trafton of Denver, CO, Jessica Tschuor of Chur, Switzerland, Allisha Tschuor, Chur, Switzerland; three brothers: Curtis E. Wiseman, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Johnny Wiseman of Amarillo, TX, Robert Wiseman of Austin, TX; two sisters: Sharon Marlow of Carlsbad, NM, Janie Britt of Roswell, NM and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 10501 Montgomery Bvd. NE # 300, Albuquerque, NM 87111. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
