Argie Nell Jackson Roberts, 85, of Del Rio Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away December 18, 2009 at Lakeview Christian Home. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2009, 10:00 AM, at San Jon United Methodist Church with Rev. Gerald White officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Argie Nell Jackson Roberts was born December 10, 1924 in Bard, NM to Elmer Francis and Nannie Birdie (Flint) Jackson. He was preceded in death by husband Lester Roberts; brothers; Joe Jackson, Casz Jackson, Charles Jackson, and Bruce Jackson; sister, Ruth Jackson Rose; and grandson, Travis Roberts. Survivors include daughter, Joletha Roberts Alford and husband, R. Keith of Roswell, NM; sons: William Lester Roberts and wife, Georgia of Hawley, TX, Ralph "Chief" Roberts and wife, Peggy of Logan, NM, R. Ruel Roberts and wife, Mary of Dixon, MO, Lester Roberts, Jr. of Hawley, TX; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
