Allen C. "Catfish" Strickland

Obituary Allen C. Strickland, affectionately known as Catfish, passed away in his sleep January 21, 2020. He was born November 4, 1960 in Winter Park, Florida. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be planned in the near future. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Allen was a wonderful husband, father, son and grandfather. He served 24 years in the U.S. Army. Allen loved playing music and entertaining. He played several instruments masterfully. Allen is survived by his wife, Evie; his children: AC, James, Allyson and stepdaughter, Brandy Norrid; his grandchildren: Colton Chadwick, Robert Heard, Phoenix Lucas, Grayson Strickland and Maddox Strickland; his parents: Preston and Ruby Strickland; brothers: Vincent and Craig Strickland; sister, Trisha Booth; brother-in-law, Andy Booth and several nieces and nephews.
