Alex “Lil P” Gonzalez Parraz, III, 28, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 in Austin, Texas. Visitation will be 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil will be held at 6:00 PM, Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, May 9, 2022 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.
Alex “Lil P” was born November 23, 1993 in Oak Harbor, Washington to Denise Gonzalez and Alex Parraz, Jr. He graduated from Loving High School in 2012, where he excelled in football and baseball. Lil P was tiny but mighty in all sports. After graduating, he went to work in the oil field with his dad and uncle. In 2018, Alex moved to Austin for a life-changing experience of rehab and new relationships. Simon DuLac became his new best friend. Simon was Alex’s guardian angel during his time in Austin in that he held Alex accountable to stay sober, as did Alex for Simon. Alex loved all of his family, especially his Grandpa Mike, who he gained much knowledge from. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and his contagious smile.
Survivors are his mother, Denise Gonzalez; father, Alex Parraz, Jr. and wife, Cindy; brother, Brandon Parraz; sisters: Mikenna Parraz and Mikayla Parraz; grandparents: Mike and Delma Pineda, Alex and Ida Parraz, Sr. and Tony and Sally Vasquez; uncles and aunts: Louis Gonzalez, Alexander Gonzalez, Delicia and James Velasich, Melissa and Dennis Contreras, Michelle and Troy Mace, Andrew and Antoinette Parraz, Sylvia Cisneros, and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Parraz, Andrew Parraz, Bobby Parraz, Ryan Franco, Julian Gonzalez and Alexander Gonzalez. Honorary pallbearers are Rylan Franco and Simon DuLac.
