Laura Richardson

Laura graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service with the Fall Class of 1993. Following this graduation, she accepted an Apprenticeship with French Mortuary in Albuquerque, NM in the fall of 1993.

Laura worked at French Mortuary until May 1, 1999 when she moved back to her home state of Wyoming to manage a funeral home in Powell, Wyoming.

Laura came to Denton-Wood Funeral Home on January 10, 2007. "I have been given a rare opportunity to work for an ethical community-minded, family-owned and operated firm in Southern New Mexico", states Laura. She is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of New Mexico and a licensed Embalmer in the State of Wyoming. Laura strives to be sensitive and compassionate to families needs at the worst possible time in their lives. She is a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, St. Edward Catholic School Board member, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and serves as an ambassador for the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.

Laura has three children: Ashley, Erin and Todd, and three adorable granddaughters, Tegan, Alexa and Madeline, and a handsome grandson Michael.
